PostSubject: Flowers, Faeries and Honey   Fri Dec 22, 2017 4:56 pm

This is the story of a noblefaerie named Tori, Recently he became very interested in Atrels pet Maple and has been trying to make her his for some months. After pulling a stint that got Atrel in the possession of a collector his mate Erisidr got involved, catching the Faerie after using Maple of bait the creature is now in the dragons crater stored away. However Erisidr is a fan of having more than one subject and as usual there is another in his possession, a young girl named Tirena is trapped on the island.

He wouldn’t have cared if the rival faerie had continued to try and steal Atrels pet, however the other Faerie had crossed the line when he’d gotten Atrel caught by a collector and it had taken a joint effort of himself and the pet known as maple to get him back. He’d already had the girl known as Tirena for a couple of weeks, however this new Faerie was too good to pass up and so once again he had two subjects, walking down through the winding labyrinth like corridors until he came to the room where he’d locked up the arrogant brat. Entering and observing the Faerie attempting to Free himself, Erisidr didn’t bother warning him not to, instead he pulled down a leaver that pumped electricity through the metal grate. The shorter creature’s wrists were shackled in iron, as were its ankles, they kept the creature stretched out against the metal and unable to move let alone free himself. Satisfied, he moved to a bench in the well lit almost clinically clean room, taking out a few vials and finding a needle. He picked a butterfly needle in the end as it was the smallest and he wasn’t certain how small the faeries veins were, setting what he needed down on a small tray on wheels, moving over and pulling it with him. The dragon took what looked like a small elastic belt off of the table, wrapping it around the faeries right bicep, tucking it around he pulled it up tight and flicked the inside of the faes elbow studying the skin intently. Irritated that the Faerie was struggling, he moved and shocked him again, a little longer this time until he was stunned, moving quickly he inserted the needle into the vein and released the tourniquet. Clicking softly to himself as he did so, the dragon in the shape of a man drew a few vials of blood before pulling the needle out and holding a piece of cotton wool to the hole in the skin of the winged creature. Taping it to the creature, he wrote a few things on the vials of blood and tucked them away in a small fridge hidden in the corner, “I am Erisidr, the mate of Atrel, the faerie who owns the pet you tried to steal, I expect we will be getting to know each other very well. Behave and after a few months I’ll have enough data to release you and let you continue on with your life” his brown eyes glittered dangerously, he would make things more painful than usual for this faerie who had gotten his mate captured. Unshackling the male he turned him around and clipped him back until he was now face first into the mesh, inspecting the creatures wings with interest he noted a few things down before shocking the creature once more for good measure.

Not really sure how he’d ended up caught and bound in iron, the faerie was doing his best to wriggle free, desperate to escape before anything bad happened to him. The iron collar was burning him, and he didn’t want to stick around for whatever might be in planning to be done to him. Not hearing his captor come into the room, he yelped and struggled more when he was shocked before he grew too tired and just hung from the shackles. Spotting the taller man, fear went through his eyes before he pushed it away and he scowled. “Let me go.” Hating that he was ignored and toyed with, he tried again to escape, disliking being inspected and trapped. The next shock drew a louder yelp from the faerie and his vision wavered slightly. It sapped as his strength, weakening him and he was barely able to fight as the needle pricked his skin. He didn’t want to stay here, he wanted to slip out and get away from here. He glared at the man when he spoke, attempting to slip out of grasp when he was unshackled, but there was barely any chance to before he was bound again, this time even more vulnerable. More desperate, he fought to wriggle his wrists free, admittedly terrified that his wings were going to be messed with. The youngster was shaking, barely thinking as he struggled harder. The more he struggled, the deeper the iron burned him, but he was past realising that. He just wanted to be free. The last shock drew a whimper out of the faerie, and he finally went limp, closing his eyes. He had no idea what was going to happen, and he was so scared. He just wanted to be set free, but his captor seemed dangerous. Struggling to settle himself and slowly slide his wrists and hand out of the shackles, he was working out a plan to get free. Though he was exhausted from the electric shocks, he didn’t know when he’d be able to gather the energy to do anything.

Tightening the shackles so that the ones about the faeries wrists immobilized the joint and the ones about his ankles, unhooking the shackles from the metal grid Erisidr spoke “Behave and you’ll be allowed outside where there are plants, sunlight and fresh air, misbehave and you’ll endure pain beyond imagination” with that the faerie was marched into a small dark room that had a simple mattress on the floor and nothing else. After that everything moved like clock work, he was fed good honey and was used as a test subject, after a couple of weeks of work, the faerie was behaving enough for the man to allow him two hours out in the crater. The dragon showed up in the Faeries quarters earlier than normal, grasping him by the arm, Erisidr lead the way through the confusing maze of passages and corridors until they reached the door that allowed acess to the crater. Opening it and shoving the faerie through, the dragon vanished back down the passage ways to where he could study the information he’d collected and start coming up with what he was going to do with the bountiful information. He was aware that the fae would be able to find Tirena out there, which was privately another test and experiment of them both.

She’d been left completely alone for a couple of weeks, Eri appearing to have lost some interest in her, however this was fine with her it’d meant she’d had more time with the various plants that grew on the island. Allowed into the glass house, she had carefully tended the plants until they were as good as she could get them. Currently in there pulling out the pesky weeds that kept making their way into the rich fertile earth. She was less anxious out here, things were easier and the social fears that constantly plagued her had backed of somewhat, she had enjoyed the break from her family that she felt hated her. It was difficult after all they had always constantly criticized her and told her off for things she couldn’t help, however as time went on she’d started to miss them and wonder if it had all been in her head. Perhaps in their eyes they were being helpful, perspective was a powerful thing after all, humming to herself and quite pleased that the garden was looking so good the girl engrossed herself in her work deaf to the world around her while engaged with her beloved plants

Giving a soft whimper when the iron was tightened painfully, the faerie had no choice but to endure the tests that were done on him, though he continued to wriggle and fight it despite the frequent shocking. Easily becoming scared of the male, Tori ended up behaving better as the days went by, desperate to be allowed outside. When the door to his room opened earlier than normal, he tried to edge away from the stranger, but it didn’t do anything. Propelled through the tunnels, he wriggled free as soon as he could and darted off, instinctively flapping his delicate wings to try and fly and run off. Unable to because of the iron that he was still bound in, he ignored any time limit that he’d been given and began seeking a way to escape and get back home. Pleased that at least there were plenty of plants and that the sun was out, the faerie scowled as he found he was stuck on an island. Without his wings, he couldn’t get off the island by air, and he wasn’t going to swim. That would only ruin his wings. As the plants murmured to him, he followed the whispers, wondering who else was trapped here. It seemed a strange thing that he’d be able to talk to another captive, and he was wary, unsure if it was going to be the faerie he’d gotten trapped. Finding, thankfully, that it was just a girl, he slipped into the greenhouse and trailed his fingers over the leaves gently, trying to understand exactly what was going on.

Unaware of the fact that she wasn’t alone on the island, the red head remained pulling out weeds, lightly setting them down in a pile that she’d started. She wasn’t quite sure what to do with the weeds, at home she’d always burned them but that probably wasn’t allowed here, perhaps she’d make an area where the weeds could grow by themselves and not get in the way. Continuing to hum to herself until she came to a plant that was doing poorly, her smile vanished and a worried look appeared on her features, “You poor thing, lets see, your dirts damp so its not a water problem, your leaves aren’t normal, perhaps its some kind of insect or disease that is doing this to you” it was so easy to talk to plants, she never felt anxious like how she did when she was trying to talk to people. Her tongue would stumble and the worries would spiral out of control, her family always got frustrated with her inability to get her words out, she was in her last year of high school and had become known as an idiot as she must be to talk the way she did. Her passion was botany and she’d always dreamed of going to university to study it further, however only recently her family had shut down that idea for her, they didn’t have the money to pay for her to go through University and she had no job despite trying. Going over the ill plant she soon discovered the source of the problem, aphids had managed to make their way into the crater, blaming the fact that some food was imported into the crater and that was how the little blighters had made their way to her precious plants the girl huffed. Getting up and returning to her suitcase, the girl returned with a spray bottle that had thyme, peppermint, clove and rosemary oils in it. It was a natural way of getting rid of destructive bugs without harming the good ones, a believer in organic things when it came to plants, Tirena carefully doused the plant and the plants around it with the mixture and a triumphant smile. “Haha! Take that you pesky pests! Although I do wish that I could have some lady birds and lace wings. We’re a bit too high to have any hope of attracting anything” setting the spray bottle down and brushing her vibrant hair out of her face the gentle girl sighed. If she didn’t find it so difficult to talk she might have plucked up the courage to ask her captor, he hadn’t done anything harmful to her as of yet, he’d just taken samples and muttered to himself a lot. So ingrossed in her plants, Tirena had no idea that there was another on the island with her, and as far as she knew she and the man who had taken her were the only occupants.

It was curious that these plants were so happy. Listening to them as they spoke to him, he continued to follow the trail to where the girl was, lingering a distance away that she wouldn’t lash out at him if she got startled by his presence. Watching as she dealt with the aphids, the way she dealt with them got his interest, and he wandered forward a bit more, still annoyed at being bound in iron. He wanted to fly and be able to use his magic to help the plants, but he couldn’t do anything. Moving his gaze to her, he studied the young girl steadily. The other faerie’s pet was clearly off limits now, since he’d been captured over her, and he wasn’t quite so arrogant enough to keep going after her now. Even though he still did think she’d be a perfect pet. But this one didn’t seem so bad, maybe she was worth a shot. For now deciding to stay quiet, he brushed his fingers over the nearest plant, picking a few flowers to start weaving them into a bracelet. Giving it to her would start to process of making her his, and he wasn’t going to pass up a chance if he had the freedom to do so. Keeping an eye on her as he began to work out what she liked and didn’t like, the intricate and delicate bracelet began to take shape in his fingers. Once he learned her name, she would well and truly belong to him.

Unaware that she was no longer alone, the red head with her pale green eyes continued to tend to the plants, so very happy that she was able to look after the flowers even if she was far away from everything she knew and loved. Plants all required love and attention, and seemed to be mostly left to grow by themselves, some how everything that the girl had wanted and needed for the plants had been mysteriously laid out for her where the red head had made a small camp. she’d been able to help the gorgeous flowers and plants flourish thanks to the mysterious force that some how knew. There was one bush that she stopped at the longest, the hydrangea was one of her favourite flowers, it’d flourished back home and the local florist had taught her all she knew about it, of course Sunflowers were her other favourite. They always turned to watch the sun and grew so tall and powerful, not to mention they were useful, it was something she’d always found appealing, if only she could be so confident, so bright and so useful. She wasn’t sure if her large family would even miss her, after all they had always picked at her, pointing out where she’d messed up and consistently getting frustrated with her stuttering which had naturally only made that and her anxiety worse. Panic attacks had happened all throughout her life especially during school when she’d be asked for things, would stutter and be made fun of for it, her only real close friend through it all had been a girl named Juniper that most called June. June and her family at the very least would miss her, however she didn’t really let herself think about any of that, it would just make her sad, instead she focused on what the plants needed.

Thoughts of the sunflowers made her pause, remembering the huge fields of sunflowers that had seemed to spread out forever, her heart broke all over again. Turning the girl from a small French town in the middle of the country side into tears, turning away from the flowers she walked through the paradise and found the small rather basic camp she’d made. Sitting down she didn’t bother getting a fire started, she had nothing from home except what she wore, her clothes were the only ones she had and she’d bene using the lake to keep them as clean as she could. Food appeared but she often had to cook it on the fire herself, drawing her knees up to her chest and hugging her legs Tirena buried her face in her knees. She just wanted to go back home to her village, where June and her family had always been more of a family than those related to her by blood, she missed them and her job at the florist, running through the sunflower fields and snooping through the Christmas shop that was open all year round. Now she was trapped here, alone, with more flowers and plants than she’d ever seen in one place before, but the solitude and homesickness was somehow enough to spoil this opportunity she had to learn so much more about plants. The girl continued to cry softly, completely oblivious to everything around her, far too focused on the pain that lingered in her, hurting her head, blocking her nose and the dull ache in her chest.

Watching silently as the girl tended the flowers, and then headed off, Tori pondered the redhead for a while before following her. He didn’t want to scare her, but she’d looked rather upset and he couldn’t understand why. It was so peaceful here, with the flowers all happy and no predators around that could hunt him – except for his captor of course. Pushing that thought out of his mind, he finished the bracelet he’d made for her and made some noise in the dry leaves with his bare feet as he approached her. Settling down nearby, he studied her a little before speaking. “Are you alright?” he asked gently, hoping to gain her trust relatively easily. All he needed was her name and a collar about her neck and she’d be his for good, and that was what he wanted. “Can I help you, sweetheart?” Picking a flower that was growing cheerfully beside him, he offered it to her, wishing that he could weave some spells around it to help kickstart the process. He hated the shackles that his captor refused to take off him, and was often trying to slip free of them even though that only hurt him more. Memories of the shocks and painfully tight shackles drifted through his mind again and he frowned, trying to chase them away again. They had no business lurking about when he was so close to getting a pet of his own. He’d learned from the princess when they’d been paired for a while, picking up her hints and tricks to how she trained her pets and he was hoping to use some of that on this little one. They hadn’t worked well on Maple, but he figured he’d been a bit stupid to go after her, especially since she seemed to be Atrel’s favoured pet.

Not looking up at the sound of dry leaves, the voice made her stiffen before she realized that it wasn’t a voice she’d heard before, keeping her face hidden in her knees, some primal basic instinct insisting that she hide her vulnerability from others that might be seeking to hurt her. Digesting the two questions, green eyes very briefly flicked up at the stranger, the whites of them red and watery, his face was a wealth of information that she couldn’t read, making her drop her gaze down to her knees again. Missing the flower that was offered to her during her brief glance, the youngster wouldn’t have been able to get out any words anyway, she was never good at talking to others. She stuttered, stumbled and repeated herself through social interactions, it was annoying for others her parents had told her often enough. They’d tried to help her, but she wasn’t smart enough to pick up social things, in the florist shop she hadn’t floundered as much, but she’d often left the talking to the lady who had owned it. Rocking herself trying to comfort herself there wasn’t much she could do to comfort herself any. Eventually she was able to get out haltingly “I want. To go home” managing to look up at the stranger, she noticed the flower and quietly accepted it holding it close to herself and taking some comfort from it. Quiet questions started to fill her head, who was this stranger? Were they a captive too? There was something different to him, he wasn’t a human she didn’t think. Still she wasn’t stupid, she knew she’d never see her home ever again, despite the fact that the terrifying dark eyed man had announced that once he was finished with her he’d set her free. Swallowing her gaze flicked down to the flower, quietly figuring out what species it was, it brought back memories of how she’d asked her mother if she thought she’d ever get to college to study plants and had been told no. She couldn’t survive in such an environment she’d been told, no it was better that she marry young and have some kids that didn’t require many social skills and didn’t matter if she stuttered. Of course she’d never make it in the real world any other way, better to give up on her foolish dreams early, lifting the flower and tucking it into her whispy wavy hair the 17 year old girl tried to dry her eyes. Not really wanting anyone else to see her in her current state, using the edges of her long sleeved top and taking deep breaths she tried to calm herself down despite the fact that her nose was well and truly blocked.

He gave her a quiet smile when she glanced up at him, pleased that she took the flower. When she finally answered his question, he nodded in agreement. “Me too,” he murmured. “You’re trapped too?” He couldn’t work out why he’d be allowed to meet with her if she was a captive too, it didn’t make sense to his mind. Fiddling absently with the tight iron around his wrists, he ignored the burns that he was getting, or tried to. It was a constant pain that distracted him and he didn’t like it. But at least for now he was outside, though he’d taken no notice of if he had a time limit for being outside or not. He was just going to stay out as long as he could. He’d missed being with his plants, even if he couldn’t help them like he was used to doing at his home. Wondering if talking about flowers would help, since she’d been so comfortable with them in the greenhouse, he touched the flower he’d given her gently. “Can you tell me about it?” he asked softly. He wanted to get her relaxed with him, so that he could give her the bracelet and eventually a necklace that would in actuality be a collar for her. If he could get her name sooner rather than later, then he’d really have a good hold of her once she learned what it meant. He wanted this one, now that Maple was well and truly off limits. He’d learned his lesson about chasing other pets now, and wouldn’t be doing that again. “You seem quite knowledgeable about plants for someone so young. You must have been well taught.”

Nodding when he asked if she was stuck here too, the girl just wanted to hide in her bed away from the world, her green eyes flicked up to watch the hands fiddling with what looked like iron shackles that were locked about his wrists. She didn’t see the fact that the iron was burning him as she had not eaten any faerie food so could not see his wings nor the iron burning his skin. Looking back down at her knees again, the young woman had closed her eyes once again, overwhelmed by everything she felt from missing Folly and June to beating herself up over the extreme anxiety that constantly lived in her head and her heart. Jumping slightly with surprise when something touched the flower behind her ear, Tirena looked up at the stranger just as he softly asked her about the flower that she’d tucked behind her ear. Instantly her mouth went as dry as a drought, trying to swallow or moisten her mouth by moving her tongue she found rather quickly that her attempts did nothing. Lowering the flower from her hair and ear to in her hands, she studied the flower trying to pretend that she was on her own, after a few long moments finally she very softly began talking telling everything she knew about the flower that he’d given her. Feeling better when she was praised, Tia nodded “yessir, I’ve always loved plants sir, I worked at a florist during the holidays and as a part time job after school” speaking very quietly and unable to meet his eyes, there were several striking similarities between the girl before him and Maple. Although her red hair was lighter, as were her eyes, she got anxious around others as maple did except instead of coming out with random facts Tirenas anxiety bubbled out of control and rendered her speechless. Her love of botany was her saving grace however, it was her true passion in life and something she genuinely adored, it’d gotten her out of the house and into the safe place of the single florist in the small settlement she hailed from. Tucking the flower back behind her ear, and for now sufficiently distracted from the fact that she was millions of miles away from her home and family, the girl very briefly glanced u p at him again before looking down again unable to keep eye contact easily. Pretty enough there was something naïve about her, perhaps it was the gentleness of her features, no matter what it was, there was little doubt that she’d be easy to catch and train to become the perfect little pet.

Pleased that she settled when he spoke gently and about plants to her, he stored that information away, listening intently as she explained about the flower he’d given her. Not watching her so closely, he began picking blades of grass and tiny flowers as they continued to speak, seeking to calm her. “I didn’t know any of that about the flower,” he murmured. “Just it’s common name, and that it was pretty.” Flicking a glance at her, he took the risk. “Like you, no?” Weaving he grass neatly into a soft necklace, he paused for a moment to offer her the bracelet. “I thought you might like this. Do you make things out of grass and flowers yourself?” Unfortunately he had nothing to give her to eat to start spelling her, but he would make sure to have something next time. “Would you like to learn? I’d be happy to teach you. I think you’d be very good at it.” Finishing off the necklace easily, he studied it before offering that to her as well. “Pretty necklace for a pretty girl.” She’d relaxed at his praise, and he’d noticed that. It was a good start, she’d be easily to manipulate and train into being a very well behaved pet for when they were finally freed – if he was even freed. She’d be a good prize to keep with him at court when he decided to go back, and his mother would likely be thrilled that he’d found a redhead. They were prized pets, after all.

Fiddling with her fingers and picking at a hang nail on the side of her thumb she didn’t look up when he told her that he didn’t know any of the things she’d told him about the flower. Going very pink when he called her pretty she tugged at the hang nail the simple small method of hurting herself a strange way of garnering some control over herself. Trying to take long breaths, she couldn’t disrupt the feeling of fluttering in her chest and something churning in her gut. Looking up when he said that he had something for her, surprise flickered onto her features as well as a great amount of shyness, it was clear that she wasn’t used to such attention. Shaking her head at his query about if she knew how to make them, she took the bracelet and looked it over very carefully obviously fascinated that he’d been able to make something so pretty so easily. Nodding the redhead responded softly “yes please” watching him from underneath her lashes, Tirena went a little darker when he offered her a necklace as well, after slipping the bracelet on she accepted the necklace and turned it over in her fingers. She wasn’t quite sure what the point of making things out of grass was, after all they would die and shrivel up wouldn’t they? Her blush had faded although it returned in force when he called her pretty again, very unused to such attention as she’d always kept away from men and boys. That and her large family of older brothers kept boys away, completely unsure of herself and not sure what the rather attractive stranger wanted she fiddled with the necklace feeling pressured to put it on or she’d come across as rude and she didn’t want to come across as rude. Everything seemed to tangle itself up in her head, anxious, scared, homesick, and far more, she was so useless, worthless, she couldn’t do anything, what kind of idiot couldn’t even socialize properly without intense anxiety. Murmuring apologies she drew her knees up to her chest again defensively, she was so out of practice socially having been here several weeks, she couldn’t stop the apologizing, I’m sorry I’m sorry repeated over and over.

She was quite pretty when she blushed, and a quick smile flitted over his face, amused at her reactions. Not forcing her to put the necklace on, he leaned back on his hands, watching the wind moving the grass and the flowers. As she curled up, he reached out and tucked a few strands of her wispy hair behind her ear. “It’s okay, lovely,” he murmured. “You’ve done nothing wrong. There’s no need to apologise to me.” Choosing a few nice flowers, he tried to comfort her a little more by beginning to teach her how to weave them into a bracelet. Keeping his voice gentle and calm, he made sure that he was keeping her calm while he was there. He didn’t want to scare her, or make her withdraw from him. Pleased as she went well with her weaving, Tori made sure to praise her gently, encouraging her as best he could. “You’re going really well for a beginner. Are you going to make it a bracelet or a necklace, or something else?”

Managing to get most of her breathing under control, she glanced up at him when he tucked her hair behind her ear, he told her that it was okay and that she’d done nothing wrong. The reassurance helped her calm down properly, watching as he began to teach her how to weave the flowers together she began copying him interested despite herself at how he threaded the plants together to create something else. Doing her best to copy him, she visibly brightened up when she was braised by him, looking up at him again when he asked her what she’d be making it into “Im not, I’m not sure yet” the red head murmured quietly her gaze quickly flicking back down to her fingers that were carefully weaving the flowers together. She wasn’t quite sure what she’d make them into as she’d said, perhaps a nice bracelet, “I’m sorry but, why weave them all together? The plants will wither and die” and then the bracelet or necklace wouldn’t be all that pretty, she was terrified of offending him but couldn’t help but ask why he’d waste plants and flowers when they’d live longer if they were left attached to the plants they’d been picked from. She had little idea that the Faeries time outside was swiftly running out, and that she'd soon be all alone once again, despite being worried about not knowing the stranger it was nice to have company for once in a while.
Soothed but still highly anxious the youngster was fiddling with a spare flower waiting for him to answer her softly spoken question.

Quite happy to praise her as they worked, he finished the bracelet he was making and offered it to her as well. He wasn’t quite sure how to explain that the flowers wouldn’t wither, he was shackled in iron after all. And she couldn’t see his wings yet. Deciding that she’d have to know eventually, he shrugged a little. “They rarely die when I make things.” It was sort of an offhand comment, but there wasn’t much else he could say until she could see his wings. Hoping that she would don the necklace soon enough so that he could claim her sooner, he gave her a gentle smile, still studying her. “Do you have a favourite flower, sweetheart? Can you tell me about it?” He didn’t care if he was supposed to be going back to his room soon, he was going to stay out under the sun and with the flowers and the girl as long as he could, not caring for the consequences whatsoever. He’d always been a reckless one, only this time had landed him in some very deep water. Fiddling with the iron again, he winced a little at the pain, just wanting the burning metal gone.

Listening to his response, she was a little confused but didn’t say anything else, glancing up at him at the question a slight smile appeared on her features “A favourite real flower or a flower I made up?” she desperately wanted to get free of this place, that she might be able to go to university and study botany and be able to become a botanist that created brand new species of flowers. How she loved her plants, she’d always been good with them, able to revive plants that looked dead and able to occasionally feel what the plants needed which had always helped her take better care of them. She’d often sing to the plants too, they seemed to enjoy it, when she was a little girl she’d always pretended the plants were her friends too, they were so easy to talk to and she didn’t get the same negative voices when she talked to them as when she talked to people. As it was she’d resigned herself to the fact that the negative voices would be raking her over the coals once the man had left, realizing that she hadn’t actually been very polite and told the man her name she took a deep breath and ever so briefly made eye contact to speak softly “please forgive me for being rude Mr, My name is Tirena Thomas but most people just call me Tia, It’s nice to meet someone else who likes plants” like was putting it gently, she adored plants, lifting her hands to tuck her hair back out of her face she finished the bracelet she was working on. Accepting the bracelet he gave her she offered him the one that she’d just finished making, it wasn’t very good, pretty horrible in fact but it felt wrong to accept things and not give anything in return. The negative voice in the back of her head started up at that, telling her that of course he wouldn’t want it, and even if he did it’d be because it was the polite thing to do not because he liked it.

Returning her smile, Tori shrugged a little. “I don’t mind what flower. I don’t know much, and you sound like you know a lot. It’s nice to learn.” Taking the bracelet she offered, he slipped it on, impressed with her first go. “It’s very nice, I’m impressed. Not many get it that well made their first go.” Tracing his fingers over the bracelet, he looked up at her as she spoke again, pleased that she offered her name freely. “A lovely name. Mine is Tori. Do you mind if I call you Tia?” Still very much wishing that the shackles would come off, he fiddled with them yet again, unable to help himself. They were so painful, and the tests were painful. His wings flared briefly at the memory of the tests and the shocks and he tried to push those away. “What else do you know about plants, pretty Tia?” He was legitimately curious about her and what she knew, and it was just a bonus for getting her under his spell. Hopefully she’d don the necklace soon, but he’d learned from his mistakes with Maple, and wasn’t going to push her. It would manipulate her more if he didn’t mention it, and she decided to put it on later. He had no idea whether his apparent allotted time was up yet, but he also didn’t care. He’d take as much time as he could outside, and didn’t care if his captor came after him. The time in the sun was more than worth any pain that came afterwards, in his mind.

Happy when Tori told her that he didn’t mind what flower and that she sounded like she knew a lot, slipping the bracelet on when he slipped hers on. His comment that the bracelet was very nice made her feel good, she was okay she could do something, he introduced himself as Tori and then asked if he could call her tia. She supposed that Tia was a nice nickname of Tirena and so she nodded deciding it was best to go along with it. Blushing when she was called pretty the red head was about to say something when she went as qhite as a sheet and squeaked in obvious fear, vanishing into the bushes quickly and finding herself a place to hide up a tree picking one that had plenty of foliage to hide her. The reason why she’d fled was quickly shown to be Erisidr, the dragon grabbed the faerie by the iron collar and dragged him off, sitting him down in a chair, Erisidr brushed his hands over the faeries sensitive wings deciding that now would be a good time to try shocking just the wings and see how that affected the faerie. It was about a week before he was finally allowed back out into the island in the center of the volcano, there were now black marks all over his wings from being shocked. Meanwhile the girl was sitting with some grass and flowers absently trying to weave them together, the necklace that he’d made and given to her was resting around her neck as the girl had decided to try it on since it was so lovely. Singing one of her favourite songs, her ginger hair was lightly played with by the warm breeze, happy with the bracelet she’d made, Tia continued to sing to the flowers.

Happy that she seemed to be relaxing around him, Tori was content to stay there and ignore whatever else was happening. Confused when she vanished, it made sense when his collar was grabbed, and he struggled against the hold, desperately wanting to stay outside under the sun and not be locked up again. Fighting against the chair he was soon bound to, he cringed away from the touch on his wings, shivering. It felt so wrong for someone to touch his wings, and he did his best to get away before anything else could be done to him. The week of being trapped again was painful, and by the end of it he was subdued and quiet again. Escaping out as soon as the door was opened, the faerie vanished into some trees, curling there to recover a bit. His wings were so sore from the shocks that had been pushed through them over the week, and he’d rubbed his wrists and ankles raw yet again trying to escape. It was a while before he’d recovered enough to wander the island, and he fiddled with the painful shackles, wanting to go home. Resigned to being stuck here for a long time to come, the faerie got up to wander to where the plants were saying the girl was. He paused for a bit, watching her, and was pleased to see that she’d donned the necklace. She was his now, he had her name and she was wearing his collar. Making noise as he approached, he sent her a friendly smile. “Hello again.” Sitting down with her, he made sure that he wasn’t crowding her. He was still wearing the bracelet she’d made him, the flowers still unwilted due to being so close to him. Managing to catch some of her singing, he was hoping that she’d continue it, she sounded very pretty, and was becoming more appealing to him as a pet the more he got to know her.

Unaware that she was being watched, and unaware that she now belonged to the kind man who’d given her the necklace around her neck. Looking up sharply as bushes rustled, Tirena tensed ready to flee, she didn’t want to be hurt by the scary man who had hurt her in the past. However the bushes parted and revealed Tori, visibly relaxing as he’d already gained her trust although she was still fairly nervous, after all she couldn’t read facial features and she was always a bit nervous around people. She wasn’t good at socializing, taking deep breaths in order to try and slow down the thumping of her heart in her chest that she could hear in her ears “H-hello again” he seemed skinnier and gaunt wanting to ask if he was okay she didn’t not wanting to come across as nosy or rude. Spotting the bracelet she’d made still on his person, a smile brightened her features, that surely meant he genuinely liked the bracelet that she’d made and given to him, the red head didn’t move away when he came closer and sat down. Not quite sure what he wanted, her smile became a little more nervous, she looked down and began fiddling with the bracelet that was half finished in her hands, she’d been making lots of them having found the process of weaving flowers and grass together to be very soothing. Not sure if he wanted to talk to her, she didn’t start singing again feeling a little self consciousness, she didn’t sing infront of other people, she preferred to dedicate her songs to the plants that felt like they were her friends now she didn’t have June with her, plants were so easy to talk to and understand although they were complicated things.

Hungry, the faerie picked out a few flowers to start weaving them together, wishing that he could have something more than just the bits and pieces he was getting to eat. He was yearning for honey or raw sugar, and he hadn’t been given any recently. Unwilling to unnerve her, he glanced at the girl. “What else have you been making?” he asked gently, watching what she was doing. “That one’s looking very good, you’ve been practising?” He was doing his best to ignore the iron on his skin, but it was getting harder the less sugar he was given. “Your singing was pretty,” he murmured, not trying to upset or scare her more, and he settled down to weave an intricate flower crown while they chatted. Hopefully he’d be allowed to stay out a longer while than the previous time, his wings were so painful and sore, and the sun felt so nice on them. He couldn’t control their quivering after so many days of being shocked, and he so desperately wanted to be free of this place so he could take his newfound pet home and not be hurt any more.

He really didn’t look very well the poor thing, her concern for him only grew, however he didn’t seem to want to talk about it so she didn’t broach the subject. When he asked what she’d been making she was about to reply when he praised her and asked if she’d been practicing, going a little shy she nodded “yes I like making them” although admittedly she felt rather guilty about hurting the plants just to make things. Watching him from underneath her lashes, the pretty enough girl could feel the worry for him return, he looked very hungry, blushing when she was told that her singing was pretty Tia was unable to get anything out in return not very used to such kind words. Her own family meant well but of course they were neurotypicals, they didn’t really understand that what they thought was helpful and what was helpful for her were two completely different things. “um, excuse me, sir, but, um, are you okay? You look…. Not very well, have you had anything to eat recently?” perhaps his blood sugars were low? There had been a type one diabetic in the village that she’d observed and learnt from when she’d gone to school, if his blood sugars were low then he needed something sugary.

Remembering something suddenly she got up onto her feet “um, please wait here?” once he’d agreed, the little red head turned about and darted off returning with a pot of honey that she’d found left out on the island. Having little idea the game that Erisidr was playing with them both, Tirena sat down beside him again and offered the jar to him “Here, I know its not much, um but if your blood sugars are low you need sugar” unable to keep eye contact during this she looked down at her hands. Once it was taken she was able to settle down a little, she didn’t want to come across the wrong way but she always came out with the wrong thing, her stuttering was irritating for people as well, unfortunately it got worse the more anxious she was. It was partly why weaving had been so nice, it kept both her fingers and mind busy, that she didn’t have the chance to reassess past conversations and conflicts and ruminate over them. Quickly distracted by the crown that had started to take shape in Toris hands, a little shy around the very good looking blond man, she kept her pale green eyes firmly on the intricate flower crown. It seemed that he was fond of plants too, hoping that this meant that he might like to talk about plants with her, the hope in her heart flared back up, she was most eager to find someone to whom she could tell about her hopes and dreams when it came to plants. Being a botanist and creating her own breeds of plants was a desire and a dream she’d had ever since she was little, she still had the little diary she’d been given one year for Christmas that she’d turned into a book in which she’d detail the flowers she wanted to create one day.

Pleased that she was happy, he continued to make the crown in his hands, setting it down once he was finished. Looking at her as she spoke, he nodded in response to her request, not feeling like he had the energy to get up and do anything anyway. He was so tired, but the smell of honey perked him up a little, and he accepted the small jar with a soft smile. “Thank you, Tia,” he murmured, digging into the honey hungrily. It’d been so long since he’d had a proper sugar meal. Noticing her glance towards the crown he’d made, he nudged it over to her. “You can look at it if you like. I don’t mind. What have you been making?” It was nice to be able to have conversation with her, and not be hurt. Plus it helped draw her into his spell and become much more comfortable with him. Knowing by now that she was very fond of plants, he waited for her response about what she’d been making before he spoke again. “Have you always liked plants, miss? What made you so interested?” She’d be a good addition to his household once she was nicely settled with him, and hopefully she’d easily rise up the ranks of being his pet and soon be very well treated, and be able to wander about his garden as she wished as long as she behaved.
